The purest CBD in the UK

Many CBD producers add additives and artificial flavourings to their formulas. Unfortunately, it’s proven that dilution decreases potency and reduces the many beneficial properties of terpenes and cannabinoids. At Crop England, we aim to preserve as much of the integrity of the whole plant as possible. That’s why you’ll find only pure, potent and powerful CBD in our oils and tinctures – ready to get to work on your body and mind.

How do I take CBD oil?

To begin your CBD journey, we recommend taking one or two drops daily, preferably at the same time each day; gradually increasing your intake until you find the right level for you.

To take a tincture, place the drops under your tongue and keep them there for 30-60 seconds before swallowing. We also recommend taking with food to increase CBD absorption and bioavailability. Furthermore, there is growing evidence that CBD builds up in the body over time and that cumulative dosing of CBD and repeated low-dose CBD treatment can have an effect.

What are the benefits of full-spectrum CBD?

Full-spectrum CBD contains more cannabis plant compounds (known as phytocannabinoids) than CBD isolate (a processed and heavily refined version of CBD). These cannabinoid compounds work in combination with each other in what researchers call the “entourage effect” – creating more potent effects and providing greater benefits to mind and body.

Will CBD oil get me high?

CBD is one of many compounds found in the cannabis and hemp plant. Its well-known relative is tetrahydrocannabinol (or THC), which provides the psychoactive effects (euphoria and drowsiness) that many consider the “high” of cannabis. Our Entourage Oil is created to be high in CBD but low in THC – ensuring you receive the benefits of the cannabinoids with no unpleasant effects from THC. Why choose Hemp Seed Oil over MCT, Coconut or Palm Oil?

MCT oil is highly processed

More goes into making an MCT than you might imagine. Firstly, the oil must be refined, fractionated, deodorised and bleached to remove the traces of the original vegetable fats. This processing strips the liquid of any nutritional or beneficial properties – like vitamin A (helps the immune system) and beta-carotene (essential vitamin for cell growth). Conversely, MCT oil is almost entirely saturated fat – a fat type believed to increase inflammation.

Our hemp seed oil is cold-pressed

Our cold-pressed hemp seed oil is high in healthy fats and essential amino acids. Many of the compounds in hemp seed oil offer anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, and cardiovascular benefits similar to those reported by CBD. Still, they accomplish these effects with completely different mechanisms of action.

MCT oil has a vast environmental impact

MCT oils are produced from coconut or palm oil. You’ve probably heard of the unsustainable farming of palm oil – plantations that threaten natural animal habitats, create soil erosion and contribute to global warming through “slash and burn” and deforestation techniques.

The massive demand for coconuts means this oil now falls into the same category, creating vast losses of tropical biodiversity. According to the International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN), coconut oil threatens 20.2 animal species per million metric tonnes of oil produced, while oil palm threatens 3.8 species.

Our hemp seed oil is locally farmed

As you might expect, the best choice of carrier oil for CBD is the plant it comes from. We grow our hemp seed oil on our local farm, so there’s no inflated carbon costs in transportation or climactic costs to the environment. What’s more, our farming processes focus on naturally improving soil health without chemical intervention, ensuring we make the finest hemp, and you receive all the benefits it has to offer.

How Do I Know that Crop England’s CBD Oil Contains 10mg or 10% CBD?

With many reports appearing about the low quality or lack of CBD in many tinctures and oils, we can see why you might wonder. However, finding out is as easy as checking out our third-party lab report (available in Other Information). These credentials provide all the data you need regarding the contents and ingredients of our oils. Without a certificate of analysis, it’s often impossible to know whether a company is selling what it claims. At Crop England, we’ve prioritised product transparency and complete traceability since we started – so if you’re anxious or have any other questions, take a look or contact us for any further questions!
