Mike is the 4th generation in his family to farm in Lincolnshire, where he runs a diverse arable enterprise growing wheat, malting barley, grass for seed, beans, linseed, potatoes, sugar beet, and, of course, hemp. He is a qualified chartered surveyor having spent 20 years working in London where he was a fund manager for a publicly quoted residential property investment company. In 2012, on the retirement of his father, Mike took over the running of the farming business, and moved back to Lincolnshire with his wife, Jackie, and their 3 young children. Having discovered the wonderful and wide ranging benefits of Hemp, Mike and Jackie founded CROP England in 2019.
